Angel Paws provides gentle, compassionate and professional pet euthanasia in your home.
Make your last moment together a beautiful memory.
Angel Paws Veterinary Care provides a gentle in-home euthanasia service for pets in the Ipswich area and 30 minutes from Ipswich. We work by appointment. I look forward to helping your pet soon.
Kind regards, Dr Catherine
Angel Paws Veterinary Care sedate all pets prior to euthanasia. This ensures your pet is relaxed and pain free in their last moments with you.
Angel Paws Veterinary Care understands how difficult it is to be faced with euthanasia of your beloved pet. Dr Catherine allows as much time as you need to say goodbye to your pet.
Angel Paws Veterinary Care was started by experienced veterinarian Dr Catherine Tiplady BVSc BAppSci (Hons 1) PhD, who is deeply committed to animal welfare and respectful of the human-animal bond.
What makes Angel Paws different to taking our pet to a clinic?
Angel Paws is a dedicated home pet euthanasia service. We provide gentle, compassionate and professional care so that your pet feels calm and at peace in their own home. A trip to a veterinary clinic can be stressful for pets and people, especially when you are euthanasing your pet.
What happens during the Angel Paws home pet euthanasia visit?
Dr Catherine will arrive at your home and calmly and quietly introduce herself to you and your pet. Paperwork and payment will be completed and you will have plenty of time to cuddle your pet. All pets will be sedated and given pain relief first so they are calm, pain-free and relaxed. This process can take up to 15 to 30 minutes. When you feel ready to say goodbye, your pet will receive an injection of euthanasia solution. You and your pet won't be rushed at any stage.
Do Angel Paws arrange cremation?
Angel Paws are happy to arrange cremation for you via RSPCA Pets at Rest.
Can we claim the cost of pet euthanasia through pet insurance?
Angel Paws recommends you speak to your insurance company.
Are we allowed to cuddle our pet during the euthanasia?
Angel Paws encourages you and your family and other pets to be present during the euthanasia. However, we understand if you prefer to leave the room during the euthanasia.
What is the cost?
Angel Paws will be happy to discuss cost with you. Please provide us with your suburb and size of your beloved pet.
Which areas do you visit?
We are focusing on helping the pet owners of Ipswich (and within approximately 30 minutes of Ipswich) with gentle pet euthanasia at home.

Thanks from Lyn:
"A massive thank you to Dr Catherine for her kindness and compassion given to us yesterday when i had to send my 21yr old Cat Syrup over the rainbow bridge. She made us feel totally at ease as she explained what she was doing every step of the way and also got us talking about Syrup's life.
Syrup's passing was so peaceful all thanks to Dr Catherine. And the card and candle she left was very much appreciated.
Thank you so much
Lyn"

"I would like to send my sincere gratitude for the Kindness and Care you showed towards Jazz yesterday. It's a hard thing to have to do, making a decision like that for your pets... but you made it much less traumatic for both myself and Jazz. You obviously have a special way with dogs because Jazzy usually will not go near strangers, and in the past vets have not been able to examine her... Also found the card and candle... so lovely... I lit the candle last night for her.
Thank you so very, very much Catherine...
Lana xx"

Hi Catherine,
I just wanted to reach out to you and thank you so much for yesterday. Jack was our everything and it was such a difficult decision to let him go. It has given us great comfort to know that Jack passed away in his bed, out on his deck in the sunshine after eating ice cream, surrounded by his loved ones.
I really admire you and the work you do, I will be recommending you to others.
Heartfelt thanks,
Shelley & Steve

Thank you from Bella's family:
'Aged 14 our beautiful girl Bella (Staffy X) was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer. Who knows how much time there was left, but we as her family knew we didn't want her to suffer.
She'd given us her all over the years and we wanted to do the best by her.
We spent a month enjoying her precious time and although bitter sweet we felt blessed on finding the diagnosis by pure chance.
In that time she got to go on her final camping trip and have lots of cuddles and treats.
She didn't seem in any pain but nearing the end her personality was changing.
I contacted Dr Catherine and from the moment I spoke to her I felt at ease.
We organised a date and although Dr Catherine advised me I could change it on the day, we as a family knew it was the right time. Also Dr Catherine co-ordinated everything from pick up by RSPCA for cremation and any memorials we requested. She went above and beyond to ensure we got what we needed.
Bella had a lovely last day and not a day too late.
She had her walk and travelled shotgun in my daughter's new little sports car, ears flapping and going for a Big Mac meal in the drive thru (certainly a first for her).
Then it was her time.
Dr Catherine arrived at our home and just brought a sense of calm with her.
She got to know Bella and let her be herself.
Bella had a beautiful passing over the rainbow bridge and that was most certainly down to Dr Catherine.
She fell asleep peacefully with her head on my shoulder and my daughters holding her. We also had any time we wanted to have our other dog spend time with her.
Having had to be there for my other furry family passing, over the years, this experience surpassed all expectations. Bella passed with love, care and dignity.
Thank you Dr Catherine'

"A departure that was filled with compassion"
'When faced with the agonising decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog “Blossom” I had genuine sadness and anxiety regarding organising the whole process.
Blossom was well into her old lady years and was living a cruel life of debilitating pain and severe mobility issues. A decision had to be made quickly to ensure she had the most appropriate send off to rainbow bridge. A departure that was filled with compassion, low stress, and depicted how much we loved her. We also had the difficulty of moving her so needed a solution in the comfort of our own home.
Dr Catherine’s at home service was exceptional. The attention to detail gave us so much confidence Blossom departed this world surrounded with everything we wished for and more. Dr Catherine even supplied a small quantity of BBQ chicken (Blossom's favourite meal), and ensured she was happy, comfortable and surrounded by loving support. The process was beautifully done and so peaceful. We even received a beautiful card with Blossom's paw print to remember her forever.
I cannot recommend this at home service more highly. Having this whole process done in the comfort of Blossom's home instead of a cold sterile vet surgery was above our expectations. Dr Catherine was compassionate and listened to our concerns and tailored a wonderful service.
Thank you for such a memorable departure of our much loved pet.'

Thank you from Minnie's family:
'Hello Catherine,
I just wanted to share a heartfelt thanks for coming to our aid on Tuesday. I couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful, gentle and respectful person to guide us through our farewell. It meant a lot to me to have it unfold as I wanted it to, and to have my requests respected.
Minnie was so appreciative of the chicken you brought and it helped her to feel safe in your presence.
While I am sure you already know this, the work you are doing is very soulful; you bring peace to moments of great pain and help to honour bonds of immense love. I also appreciated the card and the candle, I have had it lit much of the last couple of days.
Thankyou sincerely for a beautiful service.
Victoria'

Thank you from Buddy's family:
'Thank you so much for making Budzilla's passing so much easier for us. It's not an easy decision to make and we are all heartbroken.
We all felt good about the way he went. so peaceful and so perfect. Just what the old distinguished man deserved. We got to touch and be with him while he made the transition so he wasn't alone.
He had a fab last few hours. Crapping on the neighbours lawn, peeing on every blade of grass, scoffing roast chicken.... I know the right decision was made. He just slid away so peacefully. Thank you for being such a beautiful soul. I don't know how you do it but thank the universe for people like you.'

Rest in Peace to a True Legend:
'Thank you so much Catherine, for your kindness, generosity and thoroughness during this process for my amazing cat and I. I really was terrified beforehand, but it was so much less horrible than I expected. Thanks to you, the end was, in fact, a really beautiful time I was able to spend with my boy. He got ALLLL the pats. I got to feel him leave for the bridge in peace. I will never forget the gift of laying my head against him.'

Peaceful farewell for much loved cat:
'Thank you for your gentle care and genuine empathy with us in the difficult decision to euthanise our 16 year old cat, Jarppi.
'Your kind and compassionate manner and your authentic love of animals was evident as soon as you arrived at our home. I could tell you wanted to help our sweet Jarppi move on in the most peaceful way possible.
We really appreciated your clear communication with us and our 3 year old, helping us all to understand the process and the offer to bring our other cat in to say goodbye. You were supportive and understanding of my husband to grieve in the way he needed which was also appreciated.
Arranging the cremation with Pets At Rest, including organising them to collect Jarppi was so helpful.
Your thoughtful gifts to help remember Jarppi will be cherished..
Thank you for helping us with this tough time.'
Erin and family.
